Tammy Faintuch is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who works with adults, teens, and children, while providing culturally-competent psychotherapy in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Hebrew. Her areas of interest include: life transitions, adjustments (acculturation, parenting, etc), learning disabilities (ADHD, Dyslexia, etc.), chronic illness, depression, anxiety, mind-body connection, and trauma. While her treatment approach is eclectic, she pulls from a variety of modalities depending on the needs of the client. She is trained in several evidence-based treatments including CBT, ACT, DBT, and EMDR. She also incorporates stress-reduction, mindfulness, and other techniques, when appropriate, to provide clients with practical skills to manage their everyday lives and challenges. After graduate school at Boston College (Masters in Social Work), she completed two years of Clinical Fellowship in Behavioral Health at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, a training program of Harvard Medical School - Department of Population Medicine. She has previously worked in various settings, such as inpatient psychiatric unit, partial psychiatric hospitalization program, outpatient individual and group psychotherapy, and primary care medicine/behavioral health integration. At this time, Tammy sees patients via Telehealth videoconferencing, as well as in her office, which allows for appropriate social distancing and other precautionary measures. The office is located in Brookline, between the Washington Street and Tappan Street MBTA stations. Ample street parking is also available.
