Introduction

Our foundational beliefs, values, experiences, and attitudes are the foundation upon which everything that comes into our lives is built. Like building a home, if a stone in the foundation is skewed, the house is structurally compromised. When we experience trauma or negative experiences, everything that touches upon that foundation is compromised. This can lead to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, PTSD, and a loss of life direction, just to name a few possible results. Here at Summit Ridge, we believe that we all can restructure our perspective and thought processes and, therefore, restructure our foundation. We innately know what we individually need to lead successful, healthy, and fulfilling lives. We provide a safe, supportive, and warm environment to help initiate the required change and a journey toward that goal. Mission Statement: We strive to provide counseling services that offer hope and healing to people experiencing emotional, mental, relational, and marital distress. Our goal is to promote the best possible state of well-being for every client. Tamera has been in the mental health field for more than 12 years. Her experience includes psychotherapy and art therapy for military personnel with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. She also has experience as a behavioral consultant and mobile therapist for children, adolescents, and teens in local community settings and partial hospitalization programs.
