Therapy is a commitment to your healing, but it doesn't have to be outside of the pace you desire nor the goals you hope to achieve. As your therapist, your desires will always come first. As a first-gen Nigerian American woman, it has been my mission to provide access to those who are underrepresented with the tools they need to overcome their obstacles and heal from their pain. It has been my pleasure to young and middle-aged, with significance to BIPOC folx, helping them to heal from distressful and traumatic wounds with the use trauma-focused care, EMDR and other evidence-based modalities-an integrative and eclectic approach. I utilize an eclectic approach-psychodynamic therapy, ACT, CBT, somatic experiencing, etc-to assist my clients in realizing their goals and desires. The process is collaborative, where my client’s voice is the most important in the room. I’m here to help you step out of your comfort zone. Remember, discomfort and safety are key for growth and healing. Self-compassion is also a crucial part in my client's progress. I’ll create a safe and warm space for you to feel comfortable and understood. Anyone who works with me will work towards lasting change at pace they're comfortable with.
