Hello there. I know looking for the right fit for therapy can seem a bit overwhelming and daunting to say the least. My name is Synthia Lawton and I am a licensed clinical social worker currently practicing in and around the Richmond area. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and have been in the mental health field for over 10 years. I believe that one shoe does not fit all, which is how I approach therapy. I am EMDR trained, but also use CBT, Mindfulness, Person Centered approaches and have worked with a variety of diagnosis from anxiety, depression, Bipolar, Major Depression and Borderline personality. Whatever you are facing, I am here to listen, guide and walk with you on your journey.
