I’m a clinical social worker, a trauma focused therapist, a health coach and a contemplative practitioner with a deep commitment to learning, listening and teaching as much as I can about the way that our minds, bodies and hearts respond to stress. One of my passions is supporting women (and feminists of all genders) who are change-makers, nurturers, caregivers, healers, educators, innovators. I specialize in supporting intelligent, compassionate women and femmes around major life transitions that challenge us to become empowered leaders in a new way. Emerging adulthood, career changes and transitions, promotions and community partnerships, a breakup, divorce, new marriage, fertility struggles, pregnancy loss, abortion, becoming a parent, grief, or a diagnosis, can all challenge us to transform into new versions of ourselves. My goal is to offer real, grounded, biologically-based support for healing and working with the way stress manifests physically and emotionally in all dimensions of life: burnout, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, chronic pain, sleeplessness, and behaviors that manifest when we try to self soothe… while also acknowledging the systems that create a lot of that human suffering, and working on changing them. My meditation for mental health classes integrate a variety of techniques including Yoga Nidra, Insight Meditation, Mindfulness/Concentration Meditation, Mantra Meditation, Visualizations, Body Awareness Meditation, Loving Kindness and Self Compassion. I’ve also worked with over 100 non-profits and corporations to build wellness programs that reduce burnout and integrate principles of trauma informed practice, stress reduction, weight inclusivity, the social determinants of health and contemplative practices.
