Sydney is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Ardis Lo, LPC-S, RPT-S. Sydney earned her Master of Science in Counseling at Southern Methodist University where she specialized in play therapy, activity therapy, family play therapy and group therapy. While at the SMU Center for Family Counseling, Sydney worked with children, adolescents, parents and groups on a variety of concerns including anxiety, impulse control, self-esteem and emotional regulation. Sydney has also worked with children, adolescents, adults, parents and groups at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County. Her experience while at the advocacy center included working with clients that had been abused, neglected or experienced a different traumatic event leading to a variety of obstacles and mental health challenges. Sydney has a passion to support individuals wherever they are in their journey. She believes each person’s unique life experience influences how they interact with the world and how they overcome adversity. Sydney hopes to walk alongside her clients to provide a safe place so that they can grow into the most authentic version of themselves. Her goal is to provide a warm, accepting and supportive relationship for her clients so that they feel comfortable to explore and overcome life’s challenges.
