I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Seattle where I have been practicing since 2016. In 2015 I received my masters degree in Existential Phenomenological Therapeutic Psychology at Seattle University, a program which uses philosophy to ground the therapeutic relationship in ethics that honor the whole person. It also facilitated a deep respect for the here and now, the embodied emotional, mental, and spiritual experience of being. I am passionate about integrating parts of self that have been lost or are stuck and helping them to find space in one’s life as they re-emerge. I believe strongly that we each have deeply rooted wisdom that helps us survive and grow. By coming to reconnect with and trust our wisdom and intuition we establish a strong foundation of learning to navigate an ever-changing world. My role is to witness and enter into this process with you as a guide into the unknown through healing exploration, conversation, play, and art. Currently I am a second year student at the Seattle School of Body Psychotherapy under the instruction of Aylee Welch, LISCW. Here, I am learning somatic healing interventions through experiential learning and direct instruction that truly honor the functional integration and unity of body, emotion, psyche, behavior, and spirit. Until recently, I also worked as a clinician with A Positive Alternative (APA), an outpatient alcohol and substance abuse treatment center in Seattle, Washington that provides a non-12 step model of rehabilitation and recovery. I currently hold a trainee certificate in Chemical Dependency (CDPT). Prior to this, I worked in Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) levels of care with adolescents, adults, couples, and families struggling with different forms of disabling experiences of depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic, and PTSD. When I am not working as a therapist, I am roller skating, playing with my dogs, and standing in awe of magnificent trees!
