Suzie Hester specializes in perinatal mental health, including mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy loss, body image struggles, parenting, and identity exploration. With a deep understanding of the challenges families face, Suzie brings both professional expertise and personal experience as a parent. Suzie is especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals, those navigating grief, and families parenting gender-expansive children. She strives to create a safe space for clients to explore complex emotions and identities, honoring the unique challenges each family faces. She is committed to practicing through an anti-racist lens and adopting a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective to foster inclusivity and respect for all clients. Many of Suzie's clients seek to better understand their religious beliefs, whether through deconstruction or reconstruction, this process is a personal and transformative journey. Suzie seeks to provide a safe space for individuals to reflect on their faith, question beliefs, and rebuild a spiritual identity that aligns with their values and experiences. Suzie’s therapeutic approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the Gottman Method and mindfulness techniques. These modalities allow her to provide evidence-based strategies that are personalized to each client’s needs. Suzie’s goal is to guide healing, connection, and growth for individuals and families navigating life’s most challenging moments.
