Thank you very much for considering me to be a part of your personal growth. I understand that seeking support and choosing a therapist is a difficult decision. It is my hope that you and I can work together to achieve your goals. I am a licensed mental health counselor and registered art therapist. I specialize in working adults who have distressing symptoms related to traumatic memories, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem. I offer a variety of treatment approaches specifically eye movement desensitization and reprocessing and internal family systems. Education In 2003, I earned my Bachelors Degree in Studio Art with a minor in psychology from Florida State University. In 2006, I earned my Masters Degree in Art Therapy from Florida State University. Prior to earning my license in 2011, I received additional education in dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and art therapy for trauma. Experience I have worked in a variety of settings and with a broad spectrum of individuals. Early in my training and career, I focused my time with individuals within the correctional and forensic mental health systems. As I grew in my career, I provided therapy to children, teens, and adults in hospitals, substance abuse rehabilitation facilities, schools, and in private practice Advanced Trainings I received my initial training in EMDR in 2011. Since that time, I have taken numerous advanced trainings in EMDR for treatment of complex trauma and tools to incorporate other therapeutic techniques. I am additionally Level 1 trained in Internal Family System and using EMDR and IFS together. My goal is to help you better understand all parts of yourself and guide you in healing.
