Introduction

We all long to feel heard, seen and understood. When this isn't happening in our most important relationship, we get into negative cycles, which keep us from the connection we desire. EFT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, is an intervention based on a scientific study of adult love and bonding processes in couples, and is designed to address distress in the intimate relationship of adults. Research studies confirm approximately 90% show significant improvement after experiencing this therapy. Whether you feel stuck in a negative cycle, feel distance from your partner, suffer from a betrayal or other unhealed wound, feel criticized, attacked, or misunderstood by your partner, EFT can provide an experience to help you heal your broken bonds and reconnect with the person that means the most to you! I earned a Masters of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University in 2012. Prior to counseling, I spent 20 years in sales, management and recruiting as well as some time as a full time homemaker with my 4 children. I bring to my work my faith, my life experience, and my desire for helping others. I have a strong passion for couples counseling and for EFT, as well as advanced training in EFT. Additionallly, I have trained in the Gottman method. I also enjoy working with parents dealing with children with ADHD, and individuals dealing with depression and anxiety. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside hurting individuals to facilitate healing and hope. I am happy to provide a 15 minute phone consultation to see if we are a good fit!
