Introduction

If your child or teen is going through a difficult season or needs help managing big emotions, it helps to have a therapist partner with you to find ways to support them. Traditional talk therapy can be difficult for young children because their capacity for verbal processing is limited. I use expressive modalities including play therapy, art, and sand tray to connect with children and teens where they are and to help them process emotions and develop effective coping skills. As a Christian, my faith informs my work as a mental health counselor. I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling at the Townsend Institute and trained with the Competence & Character Growth Model, integrating the latest in neuroscience and evidence-based therapeutic interventions with a foundation of Christian faith and Biblical principles. I would love to talk with you more. Whether you are interested in counseling for yourself or your child (ages 4-17), feel free to reach out by email or phone to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
