I became a licensed professional counselor because I have a passion in helping others to overcome life's challenges they are facing. I’m a therapist who has worked in the field of mental health and substance abuse since 2013. Prior to private practice I worked in an outpatient treatment center with patients presenting with chemical dependence and co-occurring disorders. I’ve also helped individuals who have presented with past traumas or adverse life experiences including abusive relationships and health issues. Additionally, I have worked with adults presenting with a primary diagnosis or relationship conflict and their family member/partner to improve that relationship. I use a variety of methodologies to help you develop effective strategies and coping skills that can improve mood and address issues. I also use a side of humor at times when needed to bring joy and built rapport. Therapy often leads to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, and significant reductions in feelings of distress.
