Introduction

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides psychotherapy services to Texas residents who are, or have, met challenges in their lives. I have had the most amazing experiences with clients in a variety of organizations during my Social Work career. Examples include working in a trauma center hospital, working at a women and children’s shelter, crisis intervention, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counselor, worked at an out-patient Mental Health center, hospice, and managed care. My passion has always been helping others who have such interesting ‘stories’ to tell about their experiences and challenges living life, as we all do. What drives me is connecting with people who encounter struggles in their day to day lives, providing a safe place, HIPAA compliant confidential environment, to be apart of clients on their journey to heal and thrive. With our climate of technology, social media, and texting, I believe we all lack, in some aspect, a connection to others. My approach to helping you is by actively listening in a non-judgmental manner, supporting you while we identify areas of focus. I combine many therapeutic modalities to develop a plan tailored to you and your needs from a Strength‘s Building perspective. Our work together is a collaborative process. We will get to the cause of the obstacles holding you back from living a life that brings peace by understanding how you relate to yourself and others using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It all starts with a thought. I will help you with awareness of what you say to yourself all day long providing opportunities to uproot and counter negative thoughts that influence our emotions and behaviors. Every one of us has a story to tell. Your story matters. You matter. Age range: 18-100, for my clients.
