We all know life didn't come with an owner’s manual. Instead it came with a lot of infuriating rules and contradictory expectations that rob us of joy and authenticity. They deserve to be challenged. I work exclusively via tele-health with adults 18 years and older located in Texas. ***** Fun facts about me: I consider myself a culture straddler and enjoy working with other straddlers....that is, folks who have some kind of significant difference in identity or way of life from their family of origin. Think rural to urban, religious to liberal, blue-collar to college graduate, LGBTQ+, first generation Americans and so on. I love to laugh and help others find humor in surprising places. I believe I have a right to determine my own life's meaning and direction. You do too. I'm passionate about supporting other healthcare and mental health providers in recovering from burnout and moral injury. I have experience in multiple settings including hospitals, college mental health and senior care. In my experience Viktor Frankl was right when he said "suffering ceases to be suffering at the moment it finds a meaning." I’m fascinated by generational differences and enjoy exploring the strengths and challenges that come with each adult generation alive right now. My primary language is Gen-X-ese but I'm pretty fluent in Gen Z, Millennial and Baby Boomer. I love travel, hiking, water, mountains, cats, friends and family and fantasizing about what part of my home I will remodel next.
