Introduction

Welcome, I'm so glad you're here! I'd like to tell you about myself and my clinical framework. My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in attachment, and emphasizes partnership and collaboration. I believe my clients are experts in their own lives. I take a very relational approach, and journey alongside clients, offering tools, strategies, and diverse modalities tailored to individual needs. Mindfulness concepts and insights from brain science, particularly related to trauma, inform my practice. EMDR, an evidence-based intervention, has been highly effective in my work, particularly with trauma. Throughout the years I've had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and the terminally ill. I've discovered that grief and loss are universal experiences for all of us. Grief can be sneaky and look like anger, sadness, or self-destructive behavior. This dynamic has informed my commitment to trauma-informed care, emphasizing the need for individuals to feel seen, heard, accepted, and valued. Grief work found me in 2013 while working in private practice in Southern California. At that time, each of my parents faced a terminal illness. I was thrust into the role as a caregiver, as well as a griever. These experiences changed me, and enriched my understanding and empathy within my practice. I personally gained insight into the transformative potential in my grief. Healing can come in myriad forms — spiritually, creatively, and interpersonally. Whatever resonates for you, I will be with you. Education and training University of Houston, BA Psychology Our Lady of the Lake University of San Antonio, MSW Texas License #67556
