Introduction

Have you been hurt by someone or something and can't get it out of your mind? Don't stay stuck. I have helped a number of people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to recover and regain control in their lives. I enjoy helping individuals and families around issues of communication, depression, anxiety, and parenting. I am particularly skilled in understanding cultural diversity and working with immigrants or refugees with issues from their home country or difficulties adjusting to life in the US. My office in Providence has free parking and is on a bus line. I have been trained in Trauma Focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy and EMDR, evidence based therapies used to help people recover from physical abuse, sexual abuse, accidents, assaults, and domestic violence. Individuals have experienced a significant relief from symptoms of anxiety and depression related to these events. Healing is possible.
