SeaPsych is the private practice of Seattle psychologist Steven Behling, PhD, ABPP. Dr. Behling graduated magna cum laude from The University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in psychology, after which he completed his master's and doctoral degrees in clinical child psychology at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Following an internship in pediatric psychology at Children's Hospital of Orange County, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in trauma and pediatric psychology through the Irving Harris Program in Child Development and Infant Mental Health at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Behling is a Board Certified Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychologist through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Washington State Psychological Association, the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, and the International OCD Foundation. Dr. Behling is a member of the Collaborative Programming Group for the American Psychological Association’s Annual Convention and serves as Social Media Director within the PCIT International Communications Task Force. Dr. Behling has been a clinical instructor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington since 2011, where he provides supervision and training for the next generation of psychologists. He also believes in the importance of fostering and supporting mental health and well-being locally and globally, and has been invited to speak at conferences and training events in the Seattle community and beyond.
