I was drawn to helping professions for most of my life. Prior to moving into therapy, I worked as an intensive case manager for about eight years. In that time, I was providing a multitude of services for people greatly impacted by mental health, substance, housing, and other complicating factors. I loved working with people and realized this is what I wanted to do. I worked in a inpatient hospital for a whileto gain another type of perspective to what mental health looks like for clients personally and systemically. This is what drew me to counseling. I believe that is for everyone and pole desire a space to process and explore their needs, wants, and sense of self. The rapport and trust in a counseling relationship is the key to create a safe environment for change. I have experience integrating IFS,EMDR, DBT, and mindful CBT to help you cope with strong emotions and stress while we explore life events and transitions and to help you gain insight into your identity. My approach to therapy involves a holistic and integrative approach. I feel that people are complex and dynamic, and they need dynamic solutions. Change happens when one can identify what changes and the reason for taking action. My collaborative approach sets guideposts and provides tools to aid in the change process. We will work together to empower you in healing past wounds and in growing in to your best life.
