I offer individual counseling & ADHD coaching for clients age 12+. I address challenges like low self esteem, hopelessness, & anger primarily using Cognitive Behavior Therapy techniques to re-frame negative & unhealthy thinking habits. I have experience providing ADHD coaching since 2018. I am familiar with how symptoms of ADHD (impulsiveness, procrastination, & difficulty concentrating) affect everyday life. Therapy with me starts with compassion, validation, and encouragement. Together you & I develop practical solutions and establish helpful systems to build routines, balance, and set you up for success. Motivation grows as you experience small victories on a daily basis. I take on the role of accountability partner and cheerleader. Depression, anxiety, addictions, bipolar disorder, serious mental illness, career difficulty, and parenting struggles are other areas I am passionate about. Brief assessments are utilized to establish goals for treatment and monitor progress. Evaluations for ADHD are available upon request. I am a former public school administrator and can assist parents to get accommodations to help children reduce anxiety, disruptive behavior, & most importantly improve academic performance in the classroom. My goal for my clients is to help each person become a happier, more confident version of you. Either to feel like you again, or a new version of you. Each session clients are directed to tap into their God-given talents, personal values, and internal sources of strength. I recognize the blessings and challenges of having a mind that operates faster than others’. Finally, I am a Christian and will incorporate Biblical wisdom & prayer into sessions if you share the same values and are comfortable with that practice. Asking God to enter our sessions can unleash His power, wisdom, and grace.
