Introduction

Our first meeting will be an initial intake, which allows me to better understand where you currently are in life. More often than not individuals experiencing anxiety disorders and chronic medical conditions feel stuck battling anxious thoughts and feelings, which creates a cycle of discomfort. Together, we will identify what is not working and discuss a treatment plan for how to help you proactively move towards your desired goals. How is a treatment plan made? Everyone has a unique story and my three years within hospital settings has prepared me to take in the whole picture of each person that comes into my virtual office. This means I listen carefully to your world experiences & create a specific plan with you that will help move you towards change. The evidence-based approaches I draw from are commonly a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where we will look at how the mind and body are connected. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), learning to work with uncomfortable emotions and creating space to coexist with the challenges that may arise while moving towards a life aligned with your personal values. Exposure therapy, notice an increase in avoidance? Let’s change that cycle by adding in gradual tasks to help retrain the mind when engaging in tasks that once provoked anxiety. Additionally, I work with people who have lived through different traumatic events, including medical trauma. If you are looking for PTSD treatment to help process a past or recent traumatic event, I am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) from the VA Health Care System. My practice is entirely virtual and I work with adults (18+) who are located in CA & NY. Sessions are offered Tuesdays-Thursdays for 50-53 minutes, 10-6pm Pacific Time. I am in network with Aetna & Optum. For private pay clients, I offer "superbills" which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. When you are looking for a therapist, it is important that you feel the fit is right, to ensure that I am the right fit for you, I offer a 15-minute free phone consultation.
