Introduction

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website! I'm Stephanie, a licensed mental health counselor with over 15 years experience helping clients improve their mental health and live a more peaceful and fulfilling life. I currently offer telehealth sessions and work with individuals over the age of 18 who are located in Washington state. I worked in community mental health settings for many years and have experience and expertise treating a number of challenges including: depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, addictive behaviors and relationship concerns. I believe in taking a warm, authentic and practical approach to counseling and have been told I have a gift for helping people feel comfortable and at ease. My therapeutic modalities include CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), person centered, solution focused, mindfulness based and trauma informed approaches. I have extensive experience providing DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) in both individual counseling and group formats, and have had the privilege of witnessing lives be transformed through this evidence based modality. DBT is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy which teaches clients how to live in the moment, develop healthy coping skills, regulate emotions and improve relationships. Talk therapy alone can be helpful for some, however most people also benefit from learning tangible skills and strategies that can be used immediately to make a difference in their lives. I often work with clients to find a balance between acceptance and change, and to help recognize and honor individual strengths as well as consider areas for potential growth. Of course, none of this work is possible without the foundation of a strong therapeutic alliance. In our work together you can expect a genuine connection, which includes compassionate listening, loving honesty and sometimes a little humor. My fee for a 50 minute counseling session is $125. I am currently an out of network provider which means your insurance company may reimburse you for a portion of my services. Please contact your insurance company to find out if you have Out of Network benefits. If you think I might be a good fit for you, please contact me for a free 15 minute telephone consultation and together we can discuss the possibility of working together to help you feel happier, more satisfied and more at peace with your life! *If you are in crisis, call 911 or the Crisis Line at 800-584-3578. Help is available 24/7.
