Hello and Welcome! I'm Stephanie Hope Alexandra Ezea, MS, LPCC-S, CDCA, and I appreciate you considering me for your mental health care needs. Philosophy & Approach At the heart of my therapeutic approach is the belief that every individual deserves healing. I take immense joy in tailoring therapy to meet each person's psychological, physical, spiritual, and cultural needs, ensuring their unique identity is honored throughout the therapeutic process. A strong therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of effective therapy, so fostering trust and creating a safe environment for my patients is my top priority. Educational & Professional Expertise I am a passionate advocate for mental health, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. My academic foundations have been further enriched by a postgraduate certification in forensics, providing me with valuable experience working with both perpetrators and victims of sexual and violent crimes. This diverse background has broadened my understanding and competence in handling various mental health diagnoses. Currently, I am honored to serve as a full-time telehealth therapist and clinical supervisor at Agape Counseling Center. The mission of Agape Counseling Center, inspired by the Greek word "Agape" (pronounced ah-gah'-pay), which means unconditional love and embodies God's unwavering acceptance, deeply resonates with me. It enables me to support individuals from all walks of life, assisting them in their healing journeys. Personal Areas of Interest I have a deep fascination with neuropsychology and how our neurobiology influences mental illness, impacting our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By blending scientific knowledge with evidence-based therapeutic techniques, I strive to provide patients relief from the distressing symptoms of mental illness. Other areas of psychology that capture my interest include attachment theory, trauma-informed treatment, and solution-focused/motivational enhancement methodologies and techniques: • Attachment Theory: Provides insights into how we perceive ourselves and our interpersonal relationships. • Trauma-Informed Treatment: Focuses on healing painful psychological and emotional wounds, offering relief and renewed hope. • Solution-Focused and Motivational Enhancement Techniques: Enable individuals to discover their values, develop critical thinking skills, and integrate unique aspects of their personality to influence behavior in a productive, goal-oriented, and sustainable manner. Commitment to Healing & Final Thoughts Supporting my patients, coworkers, supervisees, and ultimately my community is a privilege I cherish. I am dedicated to creating a healing environment tailored to each person's unique needs, utilizing a balanced approach that incorporates both humanistic principles and evidence-based methods. Your trust in sharing your innermost thoughts and feelings with me is profoundly valued, and it is through this trust that we can work together towards your therapeutic goals. Thank you for allowing me to share my professional journey and the compassionate work I undertake as a therapist. Creating an environment conducive to healing is a lifelong commitment for me, and I am dedicated to continuous growth and learning to serve my patients effectively. Many blessings to you in the name of Jesus Christ! Stephanie Hope Alexandra Ezea, MS, LPCC-S, CDCA Luke 6:37-38 (MSG): “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity.”
