Introduction

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients of different ages, racial and ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, religious beliefs/non-beliefs, relationship styles, life experiences, and more. I am a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist, as well as a Somatic Experiencing (SE) Practitioner. I find that IFS and SE compliment each other well to promote the health and healing of the whole person and, by extension, their communities. I believe that my role as a therapist is to support my clients in: accessing greater compassion for themselves--especially the parts of themselves that have been shamed and criticized; increasing their capacity to be present with their feelings; and giving themselves permission to receive the support that is available from themselves and others.
