I specialize in assessment and therapy for children and adults with anxiety disorders, OCD and depression. My training in cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic techniques allows me to practice an integrated psychotherapy, responsive to the needs of each individual. I work with my clients to analyze and resolve their current issues, and make necessary changes. My training in School Neuropsychology enables me to fully evaluate cognitive skills, memory skills, executive functioning, and adaptive behavior to better understand the source of difficulty so we can design a treatment plan best suited to your child's needs. I have a special interest in treating children with selective mutism, and consult with school districts throughout NJ to provide teacher training and in-school intensives. I am a member of the Selective Mutism Association (SMA) and my profile can be viewed on their website. https://www.selectivemutism.org/professional/stella-silver-psyd/ Reaching out for help can be difficult. Feel free to contact me by phone or e-mail to see if I would be a good match for you or your child. I am an “out of network provider”. This means that you pay me directly for sessions, and then pursue reimbursement (if applicable) from your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan. I will provide you with a statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Here are questions you can ask your insurance company about out of network benefits: 1. Does my health insurance plan include out-of-network mental health benefits? 2. Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet? 3. Does my plan cover out of network telehealth for mental health?
