The process of therapy is all about change and fulfilling one’s ultimate potential and purpose. My role as a counselor is to assist in the process of self-change and personal growth. I attended the University of Albany where I obtained my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in outpatient and managed care settings and have addressed mental health and substance use disorders. In my practice I utilize a wide-range of evidenced based practices to assist patients with multiple presenting problems relating to depression, anxiety, PTSD and additional mental health concerns. I am extensively trained in motivational interviewing and have experience utilizing CBT, DBT and REBT. I also utilize existential therapy techniques to assist individuals further with understanding their being in the world and how this may affect their presenting problems.
