Sometimes we wake up and wonder how we got here ... in this job, this relationship, with these thoughts, these responses, and these feelings. It can be disorienting and discouraging. My approach to therapy is relationally focused, attachment based, and story driven. I work from a developmentally informed and trauma aware lens. I believe as we patiently engage the harm and goodness in our story with a trusted witness we can live into the person we are designed to be. I use an integrative approach to healing, seeking to restore wholeness where there has been fragmentation, connection where there has been disconnection, and peace where there has been rupture. I received a Masters of Counseling and a Masters of Theology from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2001. I have received additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am Level II trained in Narrative Focused Trauma Care from The Allender Center at the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.
