Introduction

I knew I wanted to be a therapist from the time I began my own therapy at age 19 while away at college. I was so afraid to start and nervous about what the experience would hold. It was the best choice I'd ever made. My experience working with survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault has strengthened my ability to create a safe non-judgmental environment for my clients. My later training in couples work and trauma therapy has expanded my skill set and I now split my work between couples and individuals who have a history of relational trauma. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems,) and I have seen clients experience transformations using these two therapies.
