Hi! My name is Stacy and I look forward to accompanying you on this journey! I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Therapist at Aspire to Wellness Behavioral Health. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University and I also have an Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts with focus on Sociology and Black Studies from SUNY New Paltz. I am a first-generation college graduate having been born in the Caribbean (Jamaica). During my free time I enjoy traveling with my family, spending time outdoor, and listening to music. Throughout my professional career I have worked with various populations including infants, children, developmentally delayed, adolescents, adults, the criminal justice system, geriatric, medically complex, behaviorally challenged and substance dependence. Having this level of experience has allowed me to embrace and utilize different treatment modalities that are most appropriate to meet clients where they are. My intervention strategies include, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Crisis Intervention, Strengths Based Perspective, Play Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Life often has us feeling off balance which can be overwhelming and frustrating. For some people, it’s also very challenging to confide in someone without having the fear or feeling judged and/or stigmatized. I applaud you for taking the first step by acknowledging that therapy can be beneficial to assisting with some of feelings that you may struggle with. I am here to help you with processing and navigating those feelings. Together we will explore your thoughts and beliefs in a safe, nonjudgmental space. We'll take this journey together. Consider me as part of your toolbox; we’ll slowly unpack the tools to help you reach your full potential.
