Sophia is a Provisionally Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Kansas before moving to Wyoming. Sophia uses an integrated therapeutic approach and practices from a client-centered, strengths-based, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed lens. In her practice, Sophia primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Sophia is also trained in AcuRecovery, a treatment that uses ear acupuncture for stress relief. She incorporates mindfulness, somatic exercises, and play therapy into her practice. Sophia is committed to creating an individualized therapeutic space for folks on their mental health journey. Sophia can offer services to youth, adolescents, and adults and with focus on anxiety, trauma, grief, loss, caregiving, disability, and life transitions. She can provide services in-person or via telehealth and can accept insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield, Mountain Health Co-Op, Cigna, and Medicaid. Sophia can also accept self-pay and has an income-based sliding scale for individuals who are uninsured.
