Welcome! I am Sophia, and I am so glad you are taking the first steps towards wellness and a more fulfilling future. As a therapist, I like to guide clients in accessing and understanding their emotions. How has your life affected your current health and wellness? What has led you to the therapy room? As your therapist, I want to make you feel heard and I want to help you tap into your inner strengths. I have been in the field for over 10 years, and have experience working in crisis units, in community mental health settings, in substance abuse settings, and in a school setting. I practice from a Humanistic approach. This means that I believe healing comes from within and all clients are aware of what skills they need to overcome their current situation, while also ensuring we can build a strong therapeutic alliance to ensure you meet your goals. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and have special training in trauma-focused CBT for ages 8 and up. I have post-grad training and certification in Marriage and Family Therapy.
