I have a desire to help my clients address the root issues and stop the cycle of avoidance. I offer Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD in adults. This is a cognitive-behavioral approach for individuals that meet criteria for PTSD. Together we will explore your thinking patterns and beliefs. You will learn practical tools to challenge and change unhealthy thought patterns that keep you stuck in avoidance. The goal, activate recovery! You can expect a perspective shift. Sessions are structured in focus with practice assignments for skill development. You will leave session with practical tools to use throughout your week. This therapy is more focused on the impact of your trauma, not the details. Recalling and processing the trauma(s) in detail is not required.
