Introduction

Welcome! If you’ve found my profile you are likely looking to create change in realms of life that feel stuck, stagnant or stressful. We all face times in our lives that can overwhelm and create emotional turbulence. Perhaps you’re ready to address unhelpful patterns of relating and being with others? Perhaps you’re looking to process and heal from trauma? Or maybe the chaos and intensity of the last few years has finally caught up and flooded your nervous system. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 12 years of experience in the field, I am committed to collaborating with clients to help uncover- or rediscover- their most authentic selves. I primarily see adults and older teens; mostly individuals but also offer parent coaching. I have a passion for working with those who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety and depression, these might show up as perfectionism, negative self talk, feeling burnt out and disconnected. My practice also focuses on folks who are navigating significant life transitions as well as seeking to heal childhood wounds & resolve trauma. My background in the arts has informed my therapeutic work, which draws from a creative, strengths-based and humanistic approach. I believe that establishing a safe and trusting relationship is crucial to creating positive change. My approach is grounded by insight-oriented psychodynamic processes and incorporates relational, family systems and attachment- based perspectives. I am trained in EMDR therapy, an evidence supported modality that helps people address trauma, phobias and other psychological difficulties such as anxiety and depression. As a clinician I am warm, open, encouraging, and direct. I consider myself to be an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling. My practice is explicitly inclusive and acknowledges the impact oppressive systems have on our well being I look forward to connecting to determine if we are a good fit.
