People often come to therapy seeking strength and motivation to improve their lives and simply to feel better. I will work with you to discover and connect with what motivates you in a warm and practical atmosphere that supports self-acceptance, growth and confidence in your own unique abilities. A strong connection with self (values, boundaries, strengths, wants and needs) is the foundation for our meaningful connections with others. With regard to my therapeutic style, clients often describe me as warm, direct, creative, and funny (when appropriate!). I have extensive experience helping people struggling with life changes, loss, difficult relationships and addictions. I earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from Adler University. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. For those of you who reside outside of Illinois, I have authority to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology (APIT) under the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT). Please see https://psypact.site-ym.com/page/psypactmap to determine whether you reside in a participating state.
