Welcome to Soar Counseling & Consulting. Your healing journey begins here. Soar is a private practice that tailors our services based on our client, because we believe there is more than one way to heal, and your unique path deserves individual attention. Our specialized resources include: COUNSELING SERVICES: Our counselors are trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques to address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationships issues, mood disorders, addiction, life transitions, and more. COGNITIVE PROCESSING THERAPY (CPT): Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is a therapeutic technique designed to help people deal with traumatic life events and the lasting impact these events may have on their lives. The approach is intended to help people manage distressing thoughts more effectively by gaining a deeper understanding of how traumatic experiences can influence the way they think about themselves and the world. EMDR THERAPY: A specialized type of psychotherapy designed to help individuals overcome trauma and process difficult memories. CLINICAL SUPERVISION: Clinical supervision is a process in which provisionally licensed counselors acquire knowledge and skills for their profession by working with an experienced and licensed supervisor, providing a bridge between the classroom and the field. Supervision is necessary in the mental health field to improve client care, develop the clinical competency of the therapist, and impart and maintain ethical standards in the field. We offer supervision sessions in both individual and group formats.
