If you are experiencing grief, overwhelm, or just plain exhaustion, I assure you, you are not alone. We are living in extraordinary times. Times that require we change. Times that require we do something different. But how and to what? My areas of expertise include grief and loss, trauma, and transitions across the life span. My approach is warm and compassionate as I draw from vast learned modalities, always through a client-centered lens. Throughout our work together, I integrate mindfulness practices, trauma-informed care, somatics, and a curiosity to create a unique and effective therapeutic experience. I came to my work as a psychotherapist by first working through the body, where I found a deep body/mind connection I could not ignore. Throughout my work as a therapist, I have facilitated psychoeducation and support groups in diverse contexts, including as an adjunct professor developing courses in a counseling psychology graduate program, in my work in an Intensive Outpatient Program, and in community mental health. Each of these programs have profoundly changed me and my views about people. Yes, we have our differences, but really, we all want the same things. We want to feel we belong. We want to feel we are understood. We want to feel we matter. We want to feel we are loved. What I offer is a holding space that is gentle, loving, and safe, a space from which to establish attainable goals, identify obstacles, and bring greater presence and joy to your journey. While embracing a client-centered model, I work with you to help you identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I am encouraging, yet directive, while guiding you toward the changes you yearn for. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to embark on this transformative journey with you. *My practice is currently full. Please ask to be added to my waitIist*
