Introduction

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my practice. I am a licensed professional therapist practicing clinical psychotherapy for over 15 years. I received my master's degree in Psychology at Antioch University Seattle in 2008. I have extensive experience and training in counseling individuals, couples, and families in a wide variety settings such as primary care clinics, community mental health treatment centers, and major healthcare facilities. THERAPUTIC MODALITIES AND APPROACH Your care and well-being remains at the heart of our journey. My practice is based on providing a trusting and non-judgmental safe space for us to work towards your unique and personal goals. I believe therapy is a meaningful, collaborative, and intentional process. I work from a trauma-informed, social justice, and culturally competent framework. I use an integrated psychodynamic therapeutic model, including client-centered and humanistic approaches to care. I may use techniques such as ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), somatic mindfulness-based CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy), and Narrative therapy among others when appropriate. I am an active and engaged therapist, meaning I will not only be providing a compassionate and active listening space, but may also engage in counsel, coach in skill development, or teach new ways to approach relationships, reduce painful feelings, or heal from difficult experiences. I may also provide relevant resources and advise on next steps on how to work through challenging or difficult issues and feelings as they arise. Together, we will work toward your goals in the best way that is suited for your specific needs.
