Introduction

Meet our Therapists: Acacia Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Simple Soul Counseling Services, with over 14 years' experience as a psychotherapist. She graduated from Harding University with her Master's in Counseling in 2008, and Education Specialist Degree in 2009. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Counseling Education and Supervision through Walden University. Acacia is an educator and advocate at heart, and has additional certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and Seed Digging Professional Training (SD-P). She specializes in working with anxiety disorders and victims of trauma and relationship abuse. She is dedicated to helping clients heal from trauma experiences, learn to set healthy boundaries in their lives, and cope with the symptoms of trauma. She also has additional training and experience in ADHD testing and helping clients and their families in managing the symptoms of ADHD. Acacia is offering in-person therapy sessions at the Harrison clinic. Robert Yerton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over 20 years’ experience in the mental health field. Robert has many life experiences, and served in our military as a marine. He is a personable, down to earth therapist, who uses a dynamic skill set to help free clients from painful memories and experiences, and rewrite their stories. He believes in treating clients from a holistic body and mind approach to help them work through trauma and overcome symptoms of anxiety, depression, and others. He has specializations in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT). He also has additional experience and training in working with autism spectrum disorders, military personnel, veterans, people with disabilities, law enforcement, and first responders. Robert is seeing clients in-person and via telehealth at our Harrison clinic. Holly Duck is a Licensed Professional Counselor, with over 11 years of experience as a psychotherapist. She vividly remembers the challenges that come with navigating the teenage and young adult years, and specializes in working with this population to provide a safe space for them to work through anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. She has special certifications in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and Seed Digging Professional Training (SD-P). She has additional training in working with victims of sexual abuse and is a certified Sexual Assault Advocate. Holly has amazing interpersonal skills and is a fantastic mediator. She cares about her clients, and builds a supportive relationship with them to help them along their healing journey. Holly is seeing clients in-person out of our Harrison clinic. Teresa Collett is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 18 years of experience in the mental health field. She earned her Masters of Social Work from University of Arkansas Little Rock in 2007. She specializes in working with children and adolescents (but also loves working with adults!) and she has additional training and certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and Technology-Assisted Counseling (telehealth). She has worked with many children and their families across the state, and is well versed in diagnosing and treating many emotional and behavioral issues with this population. Teresa is friendly and warm. She creates a non-judgmental, empathetic, and inviting space for clients to share their stories and identify ways to overcome trauma, and learn ways to manage and cope with emotions and challenges they face. Teresa is offering telehealth sessions, and has evening appointments available. Steven Schlinker is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 12 years’ experience in working with clients and families in crisis. He has a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from John Brown University. He is also currently pursuing a Doctorate in Psychology from Liberty University. Steven specializes in Christian counseling, marriage and family therapy, anger management, anxiety disorders, substance abuse issues, domestic violence, and religious trauma. He has additional certifications in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and Technology Assisted Counseling (telehealth). Steven is currently offering in office sessions at our Harrison and Magazine School District locations. He also provides telehealth therapy sessions for clients and has evening appointments available. Sky Tapp is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 9 years in the mental health field. She has several additional certifications and trainings including EMDR, Brainspotting, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, substance Abuse, and problematic sexual behavior. She has a lot of experience and expertise in working with family issues such as foster and adoption, divorce, and custody. She is passionate about working with children adjusting to divorce, visitation, and custody changes, and often attends court proceedings with her clients. She is currently offering telehealth and in person services in our Harrison clinic. Paula Stapleton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in the field of mental health for the past 27 years. She has worked with clients in diverse settings including substance abuse, veterans’ services, and day treatment for adults and children; in addition to focusing on women’s issues of sexual assault and domestic violence. She has been able to incorporate all of these experiences into a practice scope that is very individualized and unique. Her primary interventions styles and skills include trauma work, mindfulness, DBT, CBT and EMDR. She has a holistic approach to therapy, using a collaborative process to establish meaningful goals from a strengths perspective. She is currently offering telehealth and in person services in our Harrison clinic. Our clinicians practice out of the Wellness Clinic in Harrison, AR, but also provide telehealth services across the state. Other services offered within the Wellness Clinic include ADHD testing, EMDR, medication management and medical services.
