Maybe you're tired of having to be "strong" or "resilient". You've overcome and accomplished a lot. But, you still have unmet needs and feel unfulfilled. Maybe you blame yourself for past choices and feel shame or regret. It can be hard to say "no", set boundaries or stand up for yourself. When you do, people make you feel disposable, guilty or unloved. Or, it's hard to trust others because relationships have been so painful. You want to feel safe in your relationships and for them to be mutually beneficial. You want a soft place to land and it seems unrealistic. I help individual women explore how early relationship experiences affect you now - your self-concept, choices and current relationships - especially the one with yourself. We'll use both somatic (body) and narrative (talk) approaches to heal emotional pain, reduce anxiety/ trauma symptoms and increase your sense of self love, acceptance and freedom. I believe healing must include all aspects of our being - or at least as much as we possibly can considering that our beings are dynamic, ever changing and sometimes difficult to define. Acknowledging our many parts/ selves along with the body, spirit, heart and mind are steps toward honoring and accepting ourselves. The heart of my work aims to do this. I love to support others with acknowledging, accepting, trusting and loving themselves bottoms ups, tops down, outside in, inside out and the self that's beyond the material, beyond attachment and beyond identity. As I was taught early on: The healing is in the relationship. I've carried this with me because, it aligned so well with how I've always viewed the world...through the lens that everyone and everything is in relationship with everyone and everything. So, I've carried this statement with me and no matter the techniques, theoretical approaches and countless trainings I use, most importantly, I cultivate relationships with my clients and try to do so - even if it's just for a moment - with anyone I encounter. You may feel trapped, overwhelmed or uncertain right now. it's understandable. I offer a free, 20-min consultation so that you can decide what feels right for you and so I can determine if I can support what you want to gain from therapy. Schedule now on my website or call / message me to find a time that works for you. Meanwhile, take good care of you.
