Introduction

Searching for a therapist can be a daunting task. How do you find the right one? How will you know? Therapy is about fit. Therapy is about connection. Each of us does their best work, takes chances, and creates change when we feel safe, accepted, respected, not judged. Hi, My name is Dr. Silvia Bozzano Beck and I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I am a seasoned clinician with over 20 years of experience in multiple settings, primarily in private practice, also hospitals, community mental health, and universities. I have had the privilege of helping people of all ages and all walks of life. I enjoy working with people who come to therapy facing a variety of presenting problems and life challenges. I strive to create an atmosphere of warmth, acceptance and trust. Being in this safe space allows you to breathe, to find yourself, be yourself, explore your options, and create your path. Your path. Not someone else’s path. Not the path you’ve been automatically taking. Not the path you “should” take. Truly your path. FEEL EMPOWERED. CREATE CHANGE. BUILD RESILIENCE. I believe that an individualized therapeutic approach, incorporating empirically supported and evidence based interventions, will best empower you to move toward your goals and toward a satisfying, meaningful life. In this safe space, and through this therapeutic connection, we can work together to help you gain a deeper understanding of your struggles. We can develop insight into your patterns in order to create the changes that you want to achieve. We will do this with tools you can take with you and apply to future life obstacles. We walk through this process, in part, by harnessing your strengths. Everyone has strengths. Asking for help is a strength. START YOUR JOURNEY We all climb mountains one step at a time. No matter how big or how small. You don’t have to climb your mountain alone. Right now. In this moment. Take a look around you, to see where you are. Right here. In this space. Take a deep breath and make a choice to start moving forward. Reconnecting with yourself. Within your values. Toward healing. Toward your goals. Toward your chosen life. One. Step. At a Time.
