Introduction

Sierra Elliott is a fully licensed clinical social worker affiliated with her own private practice, A Thriving Place LLC. She received her Bachelor's in psychology and her Master's in social work from Grand Valley State University. Before starting her private practice, she worked in the community mental health system, specifically with children and families in the school and home environments, as well as in an outpatient setting. Her previous work experience includes providing individual therapy, case management, and crisis stabilization. Sierra supports her clients in identifying their goals, building upon strengths and skills they already possess, learning skills to adapt to life's challenges, and making steps towards long lasting positive change. Sierra strives to create a safe and supportive environment conducive to a collaborative working experience and believes all therapy should be based on the principles of unconditional positive regard and empathic understanding. Sierra is eager to help all of her clients achieve their personal goals! Openings for appointments are currently available and can be made from this page. Appointments can be made by setting up a call, texting, or sending a message. Please specify which you prefer in your message. Thank you! Sierra has also had training to assess and write HRT and surgery letters as needed. Please check with your insurance as some require the letter be written by a PhD in order for it to be accepted. These assessments typically take 1-3 sessions, but may take longer based on certain factors.
