Sierra Corriea, She/Her, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist Supervised by Shana Averbach, LMFT #50670 Sierra is genuinely curious and so very easy to talk to. Ease of connection is one of her superpowers. A Northern California native, she has called San Francisco home since 2011. She's always enjoyed listening to people’s stories, hearing about their passions, struggles, and inner experiences. After years of serious dance training, she became a yoga instructor and personal trainer in her early 20’s and found that connecting one-on-one with clients and supporting them was incredibly meaningful. She completed an undergraduate degree in psychology at California State University, Long Beach, and a masters in counseling psychology at USF, receiving her clinical training in hospital and community mental health settings. While concurrently completing graduate studies, training as a therapist, and becoming a mom, it became more and more apparent that perinatal mental health is what she feels most drawn to support. She feels honored to be by her clients' sides as they navigate the messiness of life, especially the transition into parenthood. Areas of Focus: Mild-Moderate Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Perinatal Mental Health, Parenthood Adjustment (Birthing and Non-Birthing Parents) SOURCE of joy: Seeing my son smile and hearing his giggles. There’s nothing better in the whole world. SOURCE of awe: Nature, especially the ocean. SOURCE of energy: My community. They keep me nourished and excited.
