Introduction

Shevy, MS, MFTC is the therapist and owner of Place To Thrive, LLC. “TO KNOW EVEN ONE LIFE HAS BREATHED EASIER BECAUSE YOU HAVE LIVED. THIS IS TO HAVE SUCCEEDED.” RALPH WALDO EMERSON Hi, I’m Shevy! I am honored and privileged to be a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate. I love working with couples as they explore and redefine their relationships. Adults working through introspection and reflection is another population I enjoy working with. Through gentle depth work, I walk with my clients on the journey of self-awareness. Together we explore and discover each person’s unique beauty. Relationship therapy and trauma therapy are often the start to finding the place to thrive. I work with a combination of research-based treatment methods such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), CAMS SSF-4 suicidality recovery, somatic treatment, trauma-informed care, and more. We begin the journey with respect for who the client is and where they are. With compassion, understanding, and honor, we explore, repair, and recreate the most important relationships, beginning with the relationship with self. I’m passionate about connecting with people, walking with them on their personal journeys, and watching as they begin to feel truly alive. When I’m not actively connecting deeply with people, I’m spending family time with my husband and kids or cooking, hiking, biking, reading, and enjoying music.
