Hi - I'm Shelly. Congratulations on taking this first step towards improving your health and relationships. Are you feeling stuck, worried, disappointed, or a whole host of difficult emotions right now? Is your child struggling with school, friendships, or behaving in ways you find concerning? Is your teen feeling anxious, withdrawing, or always on edge? I get it. As a working mom, wife, friend, dog lover, and self-proclaimed artist, I often find myself overwhelmed with all that's going on around me. Life just doesn’t fit the picture I had in my head. And yet...there is hope. There is help! In my practice, I work with children, adolescents, young adults, couples, and parents. I believe all individuals are unique and wonderful humans who have the power within themselves to grow and flourish. My philosophy is helping people develop stronger connections within themselves and with others. I take a systemic, relational, strength-based approach to my work, balancing healing from the past with empowering clients to be accountable, take action, and behave in value-driven ways. During therapy with me, there is often laughter, sometimes tears, and always a safe place to be your authentic self. We will partner to help you - or your child - process the past, live in the present, and build the future. Drawing from the latest insights in neuroscience, I integrate brain-based psychoeducation and evidence-based practices to help you understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors on a deeper level. In my work with clients, I lean on my background in leadership development, executive coaching, and organizational effectiveness to help clients understand other people's perspectives and build healthier, mutually satisfying relationships. I believe all people really just want to feel a sense of belonging and contributing. I think this is achieved in community with others, and I am here to help you get there. My aspiration is to contribute to a world where mental well-being is embraced and prioritized, and every family has the opportunity to thrive together and reach their full potential. If you're seeking support to navigate challenges and foster greater harmony in your family, I'm here to help. Let's embark on this journey together toward a brighter and more fulfilling future.
