As human beings, for better or worse, we all experience people, environments, and events that shape our sense of self and how we interact with those around us. Sometimes, these experiences lead to difficulties, like symptoms of depression, anxiety, loss of hope, and serious struggles in relationships. The trauma focus and dialectical model (DBT) that are the foundation of my therapy allow me to work side by side with you to recognize and honor how your past experiences shape your current pattern of thoughts, emotions, physical reactions, and behaviors. We work together to create new patterns in your life in order to instill hope and peace, repair your sense of self, and improve your relationships. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2011, and Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado, in 2016. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (C-DBT).
