Introduction

My name is Sheila Garcia. I am a first-gen mujer, eldest daughter in my family, with indigenous roots from Oaxaca. I am a bilingual therapist with Spanish being my first language. As a therapist, I enjoy working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, inner child healing and navigating the challenges faced as first-generation individuals. My intention in therapy is to provide a non-judgemental space in which client’s feel safe to express their thoughts, feelings and process their emotions. In addition, I intend to provide space to foster a healthier relationship with the self through increasing self-awareness and healing emotional wounds.
