Imaginal psychology supports psyche, or soul awareness, in gaining an objective perspective of our experience by supporting the parts of us that might need some encouragement or compassion. Imaginal work integrates us toward acceptance, accountability, and positive relationships while recognising the impact of cultural shame and trauma. Expressive arts and imaginal psychology are orientations that guided me on my personal and professional therapeutic journey, and I'm privileged to offer these transformative modalities to support others. In our work together application of these modalities might look like drawing or collaging, engaging in movement or dance, expressing through the inner parts of yourself, or role playing; but most often this will look simply like noticing sensations in your body as we examine and talk about present emotions, thoughts, and behaviors present in your life. I will model and encourage you to identify and explore subjective parts of yourself with compassion and curiosity. All my sessions are currently being held for adults over telehealth. My therapeutic approach is well suited for motivated individuals in Vermont who are hoping to process, develop coping skills, self compassion, and personal growth. I am not best suited for those seeking to primarily focus on OCD challenges and instead recommend seeking out a therapist who is trained in Exposure Response Therapy (ERT). Please contact me if you are interested in working together and let me know your insurance provider, preferred time to meet, and if comfortable, describe in a general way what you are hoping to receive support for. I am able to respond fastest to messages through this website, and via email.
