Hello! I am an LPC Candidate, currently working under the supervision of a credentialed LPC Supervisor. I started as a special education teacher, working with students who struggled academically, as well as behaviorally. While working with these students I, continued my education journey to complete my Master’s degree in School Counseling, followed by coursework to earn my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and relationships. I work with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, social skills, self-worth, parenting difficult children, and couples. I also have years of experience with children with disabilities, helping them to learn coping skills, anger management social skills and emotion regulation. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques to fit each person’s individual needs. I pull from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Gottman Couples Therapy, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Making Sense of Your Worth, and Family Systems Therapy. A unique part of my practice included my dog, Lulu. Lulu is a 3 1/2 year old Labradoodle, who is in training to be a Therapy Dog. Lulu has a natural ability to bring comfort and calm to the room, helping make therapy feel more relaxed and supporting. She is especially helpful with clients who may feel anxious.
