Do you want to make a change but are feeling stuck...or like you don't know where to begin? Everyone has their own innate strengths (yes, even you). Learning to identify and utilize those strengths is an empowering thing. Existing in the world is the easy part, anyone breathing is already doing that. But actually living life, now that’s something else. As a therapist, I use the creative process and a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach rooted in person-centered therapy (with a little bit of mindfulness and positive therapy thrown in for good measure). My main beliefs center around seeing, supporting, and valuing you as the unique person you are. I provide a safe space for clients to process their emotions and create positive change within themselves based on their own personal values and needs. While I am open to working with all ages, my personal interest is working with adolescents and young adults, as that was when I was at my most vulnerable. I can’t even imagine how different my life would have been if I had someone like an art therapist to help me through those difficult times. I'm a second-year, Master’s level intern at PennWest/Edinboro University and am under supervision by Kit Shulman, LCAT. I have a B.A. in art and psychology from Empire State University.
