Relationships start in infancy and can have powerful effects on how we think about ourselves and others. On our journey from childhood to adulthood many influences have shaped what we believe to be true about ourselves and others. Many conflicts are the result of someone making assumptions rather than taking the time or being curious enough to want to learn about the other person. Distractions from devices are commonplace and with shortened attention spans it is more common to already "know;" and then there is no need for questions. Somewhere along the way the special feeling that comes from really looking at each other and sensing that specialness has become a rarer experience. I enjoy practicing the art of helping people get to know themselves and others in deeper and more meaningful ways.
