One of my favorite quotes about life is by Fred Rogers, which says, “anything that is human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable”. Life inevitably comes with challenges and painful experiences which can feel overwhelming and shift how we see ourselves, others, and the world. Carrying it alone is exhausting, and can make life feel unmanageable. Some aspects in life are out of our control, we do have control in others. Therapy can be hard. Living with unresolved trauma is also hard. My hope for you is that you choose your hard with purpose! You deserve a life you are excited to live! I value the opportunity to walk alongside people and work together, sorting through challenges to create intentional ways of living a meaningful life in an imperfect world.
